I’ll be in Washington D.C. next weekend for Frequent Traveler University, and as Spencer and Andrew both live there, I’m flying in a bit early to spend time with them.

As we had such a nice time at our London Happy Hour a few months ago, we thought it would be nice to once again extend the invitation to y’all.

This is very last-minute, and is going to be very casual, so if you are interested in meeting up in DC on Friday evening between 5:30ish and 7:30ish, please comment below (using a valid email address).

Along those lines, if you’re familiar with a place that could comfortably accommodate a decent-sized group without requiring deposits, minimums, a single tab, or other formal arrangements, please share! We do have a cocktail bar in mind, but the viability of that space depends on how many people might be joining.

This is not where we’re going, this is in Melbourne, and probably wouldn’t be ideal for this situation, but I think you get the idea

We mainly want to keep this as informal as possible, especially since we’re doing this on short notice and I’ll have just flown in, but also because that makes for better conversations. Once we know how many people to expect we can choose a spot, and I’ll update the post and send out an email.

Also, if you’ll be in DC or surrounds next weekend and would like to attend FTU, tickets are still available for $219 using code LASTMINUTEDC. I’ll be doing three sessions on award travel, ranging from beginner to advanced (Matthew is joining for the hard stuff), and joining a general panel. Spencer will host a session on award sweet spots, and there are other great sessions as well.

And if neither works out, hopefully we’ll catch you next time!
